The original 1998 description for the mix:
"This mix was made the same as my Another One Bites The Dust mix, so I
used Cool Edit again (and nothing else). I really liked to remix again,
because it is great to do it. And I am possitive I will remix again and
again till my computer can't handle it anymore... For this mix I used the
album and single version of Flash, some parts of the album Flash Gordon and
a small piece of a track which was released as a remix in 1991."
The new 2001 description for the mix:
My second mix for the FanMixers gang. I think I wanted to remix this track because I liked a few parts in the
1991 Hollywood Records remixed version. I wanted to use them for my mix.
This mix is pretty different from the original album version. I've played around with the intro conversation
and extended the intro and some sound parts.
While I was mixing this song, Bart told me that he would like to hear some tracks from the Flash Gordon album.
So I mixed many different songs from that album into my mix. I can't recall which ones I used. Obvious is
the needle scratch taken from the Rick Rubin mix We Will Rock You. It really fits into the mix and gives
a funny side to the whole track.
The end of the track happened by accident. I mixed a part of The Hero into my mix and a part of the original
Flash's Theme version was pasted at the end of my mix (after some silent seconds). So when I mixed The Hero
into the end of my mix, it elapsed the Flash's Theme end as well. This sounded very cool and I kept it in my
mix.
Calling it the Revenge Mix had to do with Flash and Ming. I think that Flash wanted to take something like revenge
on Ming, because he wanted to destroy Earth and took Dale away from Flash. Ming also screwed up my mix a bit
(you can hear it during the needle scratch), so calling it the Revenge Mix was an obvious title to me.
