Mixer's Comments
The original 1999 description for the mix:
"First the blabla: I used Cool Edit again and again... and I created this mix in less than 3 hours! Does it sound unbelievable?? :-)
Bart said: "It sounds ok at first but it really takes off once we get into 'dozen red roses' proper...cool." So as you can read I used DLYH and A Dozen Red Roses For My Darling which is actually the instrumental version of DLYH.
Actually, I had other intentions when I started with this mix, so maybe I will create that other one later. Hope you all like this one."

The new 2001 description for the mix:
My 'other intentions' were to create a mega mix which would feature many different Queen songs mixed into one big track, based on a basic beat (in this case the beat of DLYH). However I made something else. I simply used the intro of You Don't Fool Me, 'yeah' from Track 13 and 'hahaha it's magic' from A Kind Of Magic (The Eye version). I based the whole mix on these three parts. It first starts with 'yeah', than after some time 'hahaha it's magic' comes in and then 'oooooooh' of YDFM enters. I still think it sounds brilliant.
Calling it Beat Mix is once again obvious: the whole mix has a nice beat, taken from the intro of DLYH, so I simply called it Beat Mix.

go back...
