Mixer's Comments
As you can see this is one of my favorite mixes. I don't know what happened that week but I made a good mix! It was once again made for a FanMixers competition and I think I won it with this mix.
This whole mix is based on the idea of a rehearsal. Like you step into the studio at the moment when Queen is recording or rehearsing the song.
Besides The Millionaire Waltz, it also contains parts of the AOBTD A Capella version with Wycleff Jean and God Save The Queen. The whole original album version of TMW has been turned upside down in the mix. It's also a lot longer than the album version as you can see.
It's hard to describe the mix. I've played a lot with the piano parts and used many stereo effects (so I recommend you to listen at least once through head phones). Since it's a 'rehearsal' I tried to keep everything as natural as possible, so no weird higher or lower levels have been used etc. Except for one small reversed part almost at the end. I just had to do that :-) The outro is beautiful: the track ends almost like the normal version, but then it sounds like they start all over again. It sounds great, you have to hear it!

go back...
