Mixer's Comments
Well, this mix show what happens when a mixer gets lazy. My goal was to include all the songs form Queen I into one mix most are from At The BBC, except for the songs on Queen I that they didn't perform there. It's got about 2 minutes of KYA, then into Doin Alright then into GKR, and the beginning of Liar. It's a pretty good mix up until now, but then I got lazy, since this was actually before I got into ALL of the songs on Queen I so I had not listened to some of them in detail to find out where a good transition would be. Liar takes a somewhat ugly transition into My Fairy King, which suddenly goes into Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll which again was not too a good transition which then goes into Son & Daughter amazingly well b/c the guitars sound a lot alike in it. Then a VERY BAD not even good transition into Jesus another bad transition into THe Night Comes Down which then goes into a short stint of SSOR before ending with the Son & Daughter conclusion from At The BBC once again it is ugly. I consider thos just an okay mix but probably one of my worst. The idea was good and there are some really good parts, but the REALLY BAD parts out weigh them a lot.

go back...
